Cole County, Missouri

Cole County is in located Central Missouri. It was named for Captain Stephen Cole, who built Cole's Fort in Boonville.
The seat and largest city are both Jefferson City, which is the State Capitol. It has its north border made up by the Missouri River.
Cole County borders Boone, Callaway, Osage, Miller and Moniteau Counties.
Main highways through the county include US-50, US-54, US-63, MO-17.
